I accept your comments with the usual good humour I try to bring to our conversations. The groupthink comment however struck a chord however….

A lot of my comments are humorous, or at least I think they are what was the groupthink comment ?

From the article, but it can be interpreted in several ways... I.e I argue one thing and everybody else says the complete opposite, then others join, see which way the wind is blowing, then do similar and you end up with groupthink. There are few on here, Bruce being one (apart from Brexit of course) who actually stand back and take an independent view, but of course that’s from my viewpoint ……

Predictably Boris and his disgusting party and trying to weaponise housing. Instead of actually dealing with the issue they’re doing the divide and conquer stuff again.

This government merely seeks to appease people in the short term with absolutely no consideration or care for how their decisions impact the country long term. They aren’t governing the country at this stage, they’re just playing stupid games and the public at the lower end of the wealth scale will once again be the ones with the stupid prizes.

Rory Stewart seems to be the most level headed Tory MP and he has thrashed the idea here.

This government doesn’t know when to stop. It just goes from bad to worse to even worse.

There’s a great article on our front page about the spirit of the blues, it’s almost a football comparison with some of the debates in here.

I recall that one of her most famous quotes being “Those who are not with us are against us.” Yet here you are complaining that such an attitude “undermines debate, restricts discussion,”
You’re all over the place again. You love Boris because, according to you “he gets things done” yet you bemoan the quality of your opponents arguments as you claim they lack nuance, only focus on their sole interpretation with no space to allow “intelligent interpretation.”
There is much intelligent interpretation on here, it’s just that you don’t like or agree with it. You call it group think, because everyone agrees with it bar you and you complain about a lack of space for “intelligent interpretation” because you haven’t managed to convince anyone of your arguments. This must be frustrating but then again, maybe your interpretations are just not that intelligent given the evidence?
