It's important to look at debt to GDP, as GDP has risen pretty swiftly in that period as well (for each country)

I'm not sure you can really use that as an argument though, in much the same way you couldn't really use it to have a go at the Brown administration for borrowing heavily to respond to the financial crisis in 2007/8. Governments everywhere have borrowed vast sums to get through Brexit, and with interest rates so low that was probably the sensible thing to do. So raising national debt probably isn't something to have a go on, but the amount of money that was wasted almost certainly is.
I think you mean Covid, but carry on blaming Brexit for everything……
Hasn't the National debt doubled or even tripled under their tenure ? I mean Starmer ripped Boris apart on pmq's over Johnson saying taxes were down under them. Starmer rightly corrected, while laughing, that there had been 16 tax rises under the Tories.
I mean cost of living through the roof, food prices, petrol prices, energy bills, insurance bills, National Insurance up. Have they got anything right over the economy ? Awaits Peteblue to pop out from down under again...
You have finally begun to understand that you may hold an unbalanced and biased viewpoint then? There’s a great article on our front page about the spirit of the blues, it’s almost a football comparison with some of the debates in here.
I particularly liked this bit “Often taking a balanced view is unacceptable to those who have an entrenched position and will only focus on their sole perspective. There is no room for nuance or space to allow ambiguity or intelligent interpretations to breathe. I call this the Everton Overton Window, a name given to the political tactic of narrowing the ‘window of discourse’, controlling one side’s ‘acceptable’ views, attaching labels to reinforce certain perspectives. It’s group think, cognitive homogeneity, which deliberately undermines debate, restricts discussion, and presents a binary choice of ‘With Us’ or ‘Agin’ Us’. It polarises arguments too much and examines dynamics too little.”…….

It’s nearly double mate and they have created more debt than any 1 party during the term they have been in power.Hasn't the National debt doubled or even tripled under their tenure ? Yeah great speech Pete, thank god you have no political leanings, alliance's or favouritism. I now thankfully consider myself fully educated and without prejudice like yourself. Have you come out for air mate or does it still smell of Roses in Johnsons hindquarters lol

Well I never thought I'd see the day.
