I think the issue is no one takes you seriously for some reason

It's hard to actually talk to people with hyenas following you around the site to make a joke of anything you post. Remember @JimmyJeffers defending a racist documentary, to further illustrate a point.

Which is funny because you would also be posting 6 months from now 'remember ghost rider'.

Makes me wonder why even post anymore. More so when it's the same posters over and over. Derailing current affairs threads constantly without a single contribution to the topic.

It's pathetic.

Can't get away from the fact the vast majority of those people who arrive by unlicensed boat on Kent shores, successfully go on to claim legally sound refugee status.
Britains opened their homes but have found out in offering safe haven for Ukrainians by the official route is not fit for purpose.

There has to be a distinct difference between legal and illegal immigration. The whole idea , which was the tweet I originally replied to. Saying 'we need to do something' but what is that something? Clearly not sending them to Africa but just taking them all in isn't the answer either. So it's welcome anyone and everyone which causes a whole list of issues , or you don't , which then needs a solution that the government don't have the right answer to.

There isn't an easy answer but as it's been said many times, when people bypass the entirely of Europe to get to your country , does raise a bit of a problem.

So what's the solution to helping people? It's not fixing the problem because we can't do that with a difference in culture and good ol' democracy, it's been proven that this point. Can't invite them all in because we can't support them. Got nowhere to send them other than back where they came from which isn't going to happen if they are in need.

It's perhaps worth remembering that these same arguments were used in Poland, Lithuania et al to defend using the army to keep out a few hundred Syrians who were shipped in by Belarus. Then Poland somehow managed to cope with hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees in a matter of weeks. I've found the file btw and when it's uploaded in a minute or so I'll share the link.

I'm more than happy to chat to someone that I feel has a weight to their argument,however, I find it simply impossible to take seriously someone who:

Moaned about having a hole in their shoe so they had to get the bus to work

Used to eat gummy sweet pizzas as a substitute for normal pizzas when trying to lose weight

Failed to fix a toilet seat

Cut their hand when opening a tin

Said Hitler was misunderstood

Said they do not understand why there is a pride month and that gays shouldn't 'flaunt it'

Intelligence isn't something that comes over night. It's becoming common place for people to overestimate their intelligence, due to watching a few videos instead of studying something for years and you, sadly, have all the hallmarks for that.

Of course, if any of the above is incorrect I sincerely apologise.

There is a distinct difference between temporarily housing people during a conflict in their home country and people fleeing because their country is constantly a warzone.

How many ukranians are just not going to go back after it's all over? Compared to the amount of refugees from middle Eastern countries who have no life back at home anymore?

Everyone who has opened their home currently for Ukrainians aren't going to be putting them up for life. But whether it's legal or illegal immigration from places like Syria , they don't plan to go back.

Look over my post history since I joined last year and I have not posted any of that.

Better yet , go back and look at pretty much every reply you have made to me in that time and see if any of them are on topic to the thread.
