Reading and watching articles about how an actual bigot who decided to vote in a way intended to make life miserable for the most marginialised didn't deserve to meet his end is a bit grating. That's all.

You decided to reply to my original post btw so ?‍♂️

So when Jo Cox was murdered, if somebody came on here and said ‘well she believed in helping minorities, so nobody should be shedding any tears’ that would have been okay with you? Because it’s the same thing.

I’m not even being flippant now - these are seriously bigoted and dangerous views you’re espousing and I don’t think they have any place on here, let alone society.

To play devil's advocate (and to make it somewhat relatable to heteros) would you say someone like Oswald Mosley would not have deserved a similar fate? He just held a different view on how society should be ran after all...
What you appear to be suggesting would have been something Mosley would have been in favour of.
We live in an open society, a democracy where each has a vote and we can publicly enter open and honest debate.
Murder is murder and no one is above the law.
The irony here is that the democracy you undermine by your posts allows you to post such unpleasant opinions.

We live in what’s supposed to be an open, democratic country.

Nobody should die because of the views they hold. That’s what has happened here and it undermines democracy.

It is utterly tragic, just like the murder of Jo Cox, as these are people are dying simply carrying out their duty as MP’s, purely because they’ve voted and campaigned for something somebody else disagreed with.

This is a bit simplistic and could be applied to various episodes throughout history.
No condemnation, then? Fair enough.

Not if they are searched beforehand. Wouldn't be difficult to have that as standard procedure.

It would - just the logistics of it in terms of staff, training, intelligence, effectiveness of the search regimen and so on for all 650+ MPs is massive.

Then you’ve got the not insurmountable hurdle of doing it to thousands of people who might well already be complaining about state malpractice / intrusion / harassment / torture (whether that is here or abroad). Are people going to accept the level of search that would be required to clear someone of having a weapon in order to see their MP?

...and as far as simplistic goes....sounds like you're saying, "Bad man...deserve kill".

It's not the same thing, at all. Jo Cox was a thoroughly decent woman who believed in helping people - this man didn't.

What you appear to be suggesting would have been something Mosley would have been in favour of.

If, as I suspect, you're both straight white males then you won't really know how it feels to be marginalised and for politicians to vote in favour of maintaining that.

As stated previously, disagreements are over things such as should the railways be nationalised etc but this man constantly voted in favour of making the lives of the most marginalised in society difficult. He even voted in favour of outlawing abortion ffs (cue I wish yer ma had an abortion here lol )

Was a bit out of order like - just hope no kids were present.

Thanks for coming.

I hope this has more of a permanent effect than Jo Cox’s murder did. Not even two months passed before we were being told people were traitors, hated Britain and so on.
