It’s almost as if they’ve no idea what they are doing.
They are doing what they always do, make money for their own, then leave the rest to pay the price.
Hopefully the coming Shitstorm will wake people up how incompetent and greedy they are.
shortages on the way, tax rises for the normal folk, inflation going up, utility bills going through the roof, and you can bet the interest rates will start climbing soon as well, everybody will be a lot poorer, god help those on poor/ average wages, with all that to cope with.
Some will still vote for them though i don't have a clue why ?

That the government were warned that this clusterfuck was inevitable 5 years ago and yet here we still are is criminal.
When they announced the deal with the EU, it was the one thing that jumped out at me. They left the EU transport tender system.

I have heard all sorts of stories since brexit kicked off and even if we did stay within that tender system, who would sign up for a load under the conditions these drivers are under.

Its quite common to load and then sit around for days waiting for paperwork with no facilities. Loads that would usually be less than 24 hours transit, waiting 7 days to get paperwork. I've heard of drivers begging to take the load off as they can't take waiting anymore. Not only do we have a shortage, we're also slowing it all down and now extremely unattractive to hauliers.

They can just ignore the UK loads and carry on as normal in the EU. Christmas was already going to be tough before everything else kicked in. Who would want to be at the mercy of a customs office to whether you'd be home for Christmas or not.

Of course, we could have spent the time training people as soon as we knew we were leaving, but then who will do the training? The time they had to transition should have been spent preparing, instead they used the whole time to sign up to a deal, announced a week before implementation, just before Christmas.

Boris is beating my expectations though, I thought he wouldn't make it past Christmas. At this rate he might not make it past November.

It’s almost as if they’ve no idea what they are doing.
They don't care as long as they're insulated from it and they're doing alright in the polls.

I have never loved the government, of any stripe, but there is an arrogance, cavalier attitude, and obvious lack of intelligence among those currently holding high office that its genuinely scary. I always at least trusted past governments not to let society unravel and let everything go to pot, even if I disagreed with much that they did. This lot, I don't.

This bunch of charlatans, vandals, philistines and spivs should face a serious reckoning for what they've bought us to, and I don't mean at the polls. I mean in the courts for malfeasance in public office.

I can’t believe the GB public are not running these tories out of town.

The whole country is going to the dogs.
Crippling inflation, no fuel, no food, extortionate gas and electricity costs, no Xmas trees, no turkeys (apart from Boris), no cars, no production, economic growth starting to splutter.

When will everyone wake up.

Defines the Tory Utopia that is England.

'Experts in the field estimate that the energy requirements of HS2 trains will be five time that of conventional rail.'

He added: 'Can we have an extended debate on the impact of HS2 on Government's energy policy and the level of subsidy this loss-making project will have to be supported with annually if it is ever built?

'Could we have this debate before 2041, which is the date that my whistleblower at the very top of HS2 tells me the project for phase one will actually be able to carry passengers between London and Birmingham?'

I’ll add to my last post…

What the hell are the opposition doing?
Starmer is a Tory in disguise. He must be.
Any other opposition leader worth his salt would be taking these tories to the cleaners!

The English voter gave Boris and chums 80 seat majority, that's the overriding problem. No way there will be a snap election. Lot of the media is a problem, however have noticed Brexit is beginning to get mentioned as "Brexit and Pandemic" the cause of a woes.

Another time this would be huge and proper breaking news.

TBF I think there could be - have an election now and they’ll probably lose a few seats but remain in power. Labour are determined to try and redeem the idea of good leadership by bad donkeys and the Libs / SNP will again try to get their votes from the 60% of the country that doesn’t vote Tory, and then complain there’s no real opposition.

On the other hand an election after two or three years of inflation, fuel shortages, disruption to food supplies and a couple more waves of COVID without Brexit taking us back to the sunlit uplands of wherever and they might only retain a few seats.

Quite clever really, using one car crash to distract from the last, an accumulation of which leaves the general public 'punch drunk' and disinterested.

It does work! You end up forgetting about scandals like the PPE contracts for their local pub owner etc due to the amount of mistakes they are making.

Be no election it would cause complete chaos and totally irresponsible to call for one given the situation the country is beginning to find itself in.
It's a case of letting Boris and chums to face their mess that democracy has bestowed on them.

Impressive how badly this lot are doing. Seems like there is another car crash situation every week.

And they continue to get away with it!

The tories failed to close our borders and protect us from Covid.
They failed the thousands of people in care homes leading to the needless deaths of many.
All the time they were handing out contracts to their friends and cronies at the cost of the tax payer.

They have now completely bungled brexit leading to what we are seeing at the moment… higher taxes, crippling inflation, fuel and food shortages, the loss of nhs services.

Where will it end. How long will it be until the country wakes up and forces these crooks out of office.
