He has denied ANY wrongdoing,culpability or blame since the very beginning. He even demanded praise for his efforts despite the highest death rate in Europe and the whole absolute debacle.

The annoying thing is, the country has known this for a year and it takes such drastic action from Cummings for many people to raise an eyebrow.

What happened that made the country ignore what sleaze the tory party get up to, and still vote for them?

Because they were terribly worried that a man who hoped to bring about positive changes might not be the best at public speaking so couldn’t possible vote have him as PM. Narrow escape

Indeed - much of the electorate already prices their incompetence, corruption, venality and general moral sickness into how they vote. Just look at how often pete slates all politicians whilst shilling for them in particular.

The problem created, by those who continue to back Johnson, or Hancock et al, is that it makes any degree of lying or incompetence acceptable. Similar to the Trump phenomenon. If tory party supporters, put their own principles to one side, just for the sake of continuing to ‘support their own team’, the overall competence of politicians generally will decrease.

I’ve got no issues with Tory party supporters, who i may disagree with over economics, or social issues etc, but when they defend the indefensible, they willingly degrade the ethics and effectiveness of politics at large
