“So his evidence was full of accusations such as: “The government was so hopelessly dishonest that it employed me to advise it. What were they thinking? If they couldn’t see that I’m full of s**t, they’re clearly full of s**t themselves. The only other explanation is they knew I was full of s**t but employed me anyway! Either way, they are clearly unfit to govern.”

His next bombshell will be to reveal that Brexit has been a disaster, and we should never have done it. He’ll say: “It was obvious Brexit would fail from the moment I said we had to do it. When I said we should ‘take back control’, Boris Johnson should have had me sectioned, he’s an idiot.”

Maybe this will spark a new trend that will be copied across society. In divorce courts, men will say: “My wife was clearly to blame as she was daft enough to marry me, the idiot, even though I was obviously having an affair with her great-aunt.”

The most impressive thing about Cummings is he waited until a year after these care home residents died before telling us he knew they were dying unnecessarily, which is much more useful than mentioning it while it was happening.”.........

It’s always the same when you see someone telling lies that you think will kill “thousands that need not die”. You consider saying something, but it can be a bit socially awkward so it’s best to wait until a year after they’ve all carked it, rather than cause a scene.

Rather unhelpfully the graphic is without labels, but it's from a new paper from Pikketty, with income on the y axis and education on the x axis. The blue dots are left wing party support in various countries, and red right wing support. The chart on the left is 1970, and the right now. Basically, whereas in the past left wing support would be from low-income/low-education folk, now it's high-education/low-income, whereas right wing support has shifted from high-education/high-income to high-income/low-education. The link below has the labels attached so may make it easier to read.

It does neatly explain Labour's problem, however, as they're not really the party of the working class any more, yet while the Tories have adapted to that reality, Labour haven't.

Seems the questions outlined below are pretty serious and "should" be fairly easy to answer. I would imagine you would want them answering as well, even if it meant your party comes out badly?

Defending the indefensible

Decent questions that I’m sure will be asked during the inquiry. I have no doubt that Hancock fiddled the testing to hit the 100,000 milestone, but the U.K. does far more testing per day, every day, than any two Eu countries combined. The U.K. was regularly doing an average of 1 million per day while Germany never got above 250K. The other questions throw major doubts upon some of our smug institutions but even they got it right eventually. With the exception of Sweden, all other western nations went through a similar chaotic initial response. The U.K. is doing very well in comparison by any measure......

Yes, but only this country kept telling the people it was all in hand “we have the best track and trace” when in reality they spunked billions on a pile of crap. We all knew it, but Hancock-up said otherwise

he has lied constantly

At least 127,000 dead British citizens, pete - more deaths per million than Germany, France, the US and the EU average. A reproduction rate that is higher than Germany, France, the US and the EU average (and India at present). A case fatality rate which is above Germany, France, the US and the EU average. Confirmed case rates that are above Germany, the US and the EU average.

Test numbers through the roof when we are - still - without any kind of working system to detect and suppress outbreaks, as the spread of the latest Indian strain is showing.

So "doing very well in comparison by any measure" is yet another fib of yours.

All the experts (PPE,care homes and former cross party MP) coming out now, stating how much Hancock lied. He HAS to go.

I am loving this
Got anecdotal examples of people coming out of respite in that early period and the facility discharging people knowing they have COVID back into community without warning or advice, of course the opposite is now happening and people can't get out of care facilities, basically been detained under COVID legislation for over a year.
And plenty of examples in the many disability forum of people and children just basically detained from their family for over a year now. It's not a very pleasant society we are living under.

You’ll get no argument from me as I’ve believed similar...but the first casualty of any war is truth.....

War??
WTAF are you waffling on about?
This incompetent "government" are experts in the art of sending a lie halfway round the world before the truth has got its boots on.
And we are letting them get away with it.
