Public sector is rather wider than teachers mate...

I've had 10 years of real term pay reductions.

Tories said in their manifesto the pay freeze was over, lavished praise on us for helping to keep the country going and are now going to once again shaft us.

so have i in the private sector. And can't see a pay rise in the near future due to a global pandemic.

I'm afraid i have little sympathy with this. You can't expect a gov to nationalise the entire public sector to keep people in jobs to give pay rises out?

It sounds pretty good to me

This makes no sense.

I'll give you the opportunity to try and break this down a bit further and say something coherent.

This Tory Government are laughing at the British public. The arrogance they’re demonstrating on a daily basis is absolutely astounding.
Whether it be by giving their cronies lucrative contracts without following due process or introducing public sector pay freezes.

Ten years of relentless Tory Party defunding and privatisation of the NHS is to be paid for by pay freezes for public servants, including loyal NHS doctors and nurses, as though the latter two have not paid enough, with hundreds of NHS staff prematurely killed by COVID.

Never trust a Tory.

OK.

Well the public and private sector are different of course.

I've been present as Ministers directly praised staff for what we have done this year, keeping things going as we face unprecedented challenges, following direct promises that we wouldnt see further pay freezes.
Come on. Why show sympathy for key workers? Especially this year?

The same government who gave themselves pay rises recently?

The workers can't have one but the mps can?
