Not really, but we do have Diane Abbott defending a bully in the the shape of John Bercow and her boss attempting to get the same bully put into the House of Lords. So it’s quite hard to take anything they say in this matter seriously....if both the CS and Labour are trying to get Patel sacked then she must be doing something right.....

Is Bercow a bully and Patel not then?
Have a feeling this will all come out in the wash and you’re gonna end up looking very silly.

Where has this been proven about John Bercow bullying?

The difference being that Bercow allegedly bullied a former very senior Army officer, whereas Patel allegedly bullied a senior civil servant and others. I rather think the General would be better able to deal with an angry midget than the others.

Bercow a bully? He may well be, or maybe the campaign to discredit him will be exposed in due course. I am extremely interested to know what your proof is behind the certainty of your statement though. Tell us @peteblue. To paraphrase a well known poster on this site, we're all ears.
Of course, if you're just parroting the Daily Mail etc, could you tell us so that we can file it alongside the rest of your nonsense? Thanks.

The very act of bullying is generally (once out of the playground at least) to do with power rather than physical stature, so if Bercow has abused his power in that way, that's not cool either.

Quite. The allegations against Bercow were similar to the ones made about Brown a few years earlier. Tantrums, things thrown across the room, red faced abusr over seemingly trivial matters.

Priti Patel is toast. The head of the Civil Service union isn't publicly calling you out if the evidence isn't with him.

It is, but what power did Bercow have over him? He can’t sack him, the bloke presumably has financial independence thanks to his class and pension and he had a lifetime of military service behind him.

There’s almost no comparison to a minister able to fire someone and deploy the Press to make them unemployable.

No, it's quite possibly no comparison, and hopefully both instances will be looked at to decide properly rather than people talking idly on social media with limited access to the facts, I'm just saying that bullying is bad regardless of who does it.
 
Indeed, but of course to do that we’d have to have it all treated seriously and there’s zero evidence this (or any) government would ever do that.

How exactly. If Patel has been bullying staff she should be sacked. If Bercow has bullied staff he should get nowhere near the HoL. My comment related to Labour politicians defending one and proposing him to the HoL while calling for the head of the other purely for political reasons....
