Fixed for you.
Fair.
Fixed for you.
He will be gone first as he sounds like he has at least some moral compass whereas she is the Anti Christ.Probably.
I stand by what I said though.
And that’s fair enough, but to the cosy civil service who then get confronted by a ‘let’s get it done’ minister it will be uncomfortable and even seem like bullying. If it were me they would be screaming blue murder within an hour, but tbh this is exactly what is needed at this point in time.....get shut of him, go down a level or two and promote those who will make things happen.....

Unlike Priti Patel who seems to enjoy the misery of others. She is an appalling individualHe isn't naturally that good socially but he has worked a lot on that.
He cares about his staff, will look to do the right thing and is really bloody smart (one of the smartest people I've worked with).

I'm sure the sadists will be saying 'but she gets results so the ends justify the means'She really is.
I'm just reading she was trying to demand officials carry out work they considered to be illegal.
I would happily tell her no to her face.
There are plenty of evil tories, but none quite as dumb as her. It's really worryingThick and vicious isn't a nice mix. Her time in office can't be short enough.
Matt Hancock and Liz Truss are pretty thick. There are plenty of evil tories, but none quite as dumb as her. It's really worrying
Rees-Mogg despite his classical references, patronising manner and posh voice seems pretty thick.Matt Hancock and Liz Truss are pretty thick.
She is properly dangerous. She really frightens me. There is no way in hell she is fit to hold that office. It's like letting me play centre mid for Everton or something. There are plenty of evil tories, but none quite as dumb as her. It's really worrying
The minister of ‘getting things done’ lol lol lol lol lolBecause Philip Rutnam is a complacent civil servant not used to "let's get it done" Ministers lol
It is fairly common for Ministers to be inexperienced and out of their depth, with naive misconceptions they swiftly end up shedding.
Getting rid of Philip is only going to end badly for Patel. Her effectiveness as a Minister will plummet if she doesn't get Home Office staff onside. The atmosphere is already terrible there because of her.
She really is.

I did a work experience stint in the DWP.
From that experience I understood that the phrase "work at your own pace" was created for those working in that department where I was placed (and the management).
No idea what they were earning but for someone wanting to 'work and learn' it wasnt exactly a positive environment...as soon as it was time for lunch they all left...returned on the dot...left work on the dot...no need to use a watch.
From the whisperings (and there seem to be many) the allegations surrounding this are mostly her calling people out on work ethic and inability to follow up in a timely manner.
As I say, my experience was fleeting and just a work placement but I wouldnt have hired a single person I met in that department...
I guess its all about personal experience.
