How on earth can an elected member of a legislature also be a paid employee of a lobbying firm???
Supposedly her being appointed as a senior advisor to the firm was "within all parliamentary and industry rules" said the party.

I'm a bit confused by this then, as pharmaceutical companies (as the name suggests) only sell drugs. Now they could be lobbying to neuter NICE and try and get higher prices for the drugs they sell to the NHS, and that seems quite possible, but that's nothing like 'privatising' the NHS as pharma companies have generally got nothing to do with the delivery of healthcare. At the moment it seems a bit like Rosenbauer meeting with the government to try and get better prices for fire engines and suggesting that this means the fire service is going to be privatised.
Am I missing something?

I would hope with NICE tbh as they're the ones that are supposed to determine these things. It shouldn't be political, but I don't really get where the privatisation claims come from. Lobbying without a doubt, privatisation, not really.

Swinson- I don't believe a word of this. Boris Johnson has promised the NHS will not be on the table in any US trade deal - and I can't believe Mr Johnson would ever deliberately lie. He has always shown himself to be a man of utter honesty and repute up till now.
Could you be specific rather than vague? Do you believe NICE is being bypassed and is this equivalent to privatisation?
Also, could you point me to the state-run pharmaceutical companies that would be forced out by the lobbying of public pharmaceutical companies, and explain what proportion of the drugs used in the NHS are provided by those state-run pharmaceuticals?
