That's frankly staggering.

That's nice for them. I wonder if it'll end up that way in the spring when an actual election arrives and the clown's been skewered as a powerless BSer?

If there's anyone who believes the next election wont end up in a hung parliament they're not paying attention.

That assumes no events come along - another Grenfell occurs, or the arse falls out of the world economy and Corbyn will probably end up with a landslide

The Grenfell report is published on 30th October ( the latest date it could be published), no doubt the hope was the headlines would be buried on the anticipation of the following day, oh dear...

The first half of the report (which as you say is released on the 30th) is about the narrative of how the fire started and developed, and the response to the disaster though - focusing on what the emergency services did.

It is the second half that will look at what RKBC, the contractors and national politicians did, which is where the criticism for them will come.

It again will enter the wider public consciousness near an election and 30th October release date was no coincidence.

Oh. You mean the one where the fire service did it?

If it does come out this way, the backlash will be even more severe as the public will cotton on that we are all being taken for mugs.

Michael Gove has always looked strangely strange.
