That's a distortion of history if ever I've seen it done. While I'm not defending the Tories for a minute, it should be pointed out that the British Empire was probably the richest and most powerful state on the planet until World War I.Indeed. It is also worth pointing out that the elite didn't actually build the empire either; they just took it over from the ruthless bar stewards who had traded, stole, killed, ravished, plundered etc and then lost it by being racist / incompetent (usually both).
Or to repeat a point made some time ago, in 1832 the British Empire was the most powerful, richest and successful state on the planet. Then the Tory Party was formed and they've since reduced us to the sort of strategic sitution that Edward II enjoyed.
That's frankly staggering.

YouGov...If that's correct, it's very worrying as well as staggering. The Conservatives and the Brexit "party" combined have almost half the votes!
Why is it staggering?
They have most of the media telling people lies on their behalf, have spent tens of millions of our money on advertising themselves and the opposition refuse to do the one thing that is required to stop him (ie: unify around one person).
Staggers me as well mate.It staggered me.
