Hence why he'll get nowhere. Even if MPs put him forward to 'broaden the conversation' ala Corbyn, it's very unlikely that the (majority old age Brexiter) membership will vote for anyone but a hard Brexiter.

Incredible she has turned out to be a Tory. In my younger days I knew her father, Jimmy, very well - he lived in the next street to me in Kirkdale. Very down-to-earth lad who started his own business off from scratch and built it into a fine going concern.

Irrespective of her background, I find it incredible she turned out to be an MP. Not gonna lie, I know little of her background, but in this age of instant everything, she comes across as one annoying and nakedly self serving person.

I think Liverpool missed a trick in not getting close to her. She could have been a major champion of the region, but as always Liverpool slags off any Tory and gave her particular stick, and then wonders why a Tory government ignores them. How to make friends and influence people 101 wouldn’t go amiss tbh......
