Sadly there are some course ideas, language and discussion. If you are a touch sensitive to the rambunctious nature of the current affairs area, I suspect you will be further down the line. Perhaps swerve it? Outright occasions of disgusting behaviour tend to get hammered pretty quickly. It aint my forum, nor my rules, it's all I can offer you.

If you are offended, I'm very sorry. Attitudes and behaviours change very slowly. There is a lot more empathy and acceptance nowadays than times gone, it is a long road I accept.

Actually I didn't ask you to look in this thread, I said you could look at my history in general to see what kind of positions I hold on sociopolitical & cultural issues. I'm not an Everton fan and only post in the CA area on this forum so there's not a lot of chaff to find the wheat in.

But that's by the by, and that's what I just did, I went and looked at the specific post you were referencing. But I'm having trouble parsing this line:

I understand your position from that post, but it sounds like you're being critical of both posters despite both of the posts you quoted saying the same thing as you. So it's not clear to me if you misunderstood their posts the way you've misunderstood mine.

To be clear, they were opposing Braverman's attempts to divide the 'LGB' from the 'T' with her inflammatory rhetoric earlier in the week. And so were you. And so should we all.

I think he enjoyed laughing at someone's work colleague being raped by 5 transexuals whilst her boss ate cake, but he didn't find the jokes aimed at him quoting below his post funny. Humour, it reaches people in different ways doesn't it?

I hope Braverman’s comments are a wake up call to any non-trans LGBTQ+ folks who think that keeping quiet and letting trans people take the brunt of hate will mean the bigots will leave the rest of them alone

They hate all of you, trans people are just the current main target

Stand side by side and fight back together, or you’ll eventually be next on the list

Trans people are the acceptable target, we saw rampant bigotry in a thread last night that would have been shut down had any other marginalised group been the target.

Okay Rita. I won't mention gay rights again because it isn't what people want to hear.

You and the rest want to foam from the mouths and throw hate. That's all you can do.

It's sad from you and others tonight. That actually rather brings this important issue to the gutter. Then actually be genuine and grown up (all of you are 40+). I accept the football section is more banter but the CA should be more personal and delve into matters with more consideration.
