Okay Rita. I won't mention gay rights again because it isn't what people want to here.

You and the rest want to foam from the mouths and throw hate. That's all you can do.

It's sad from you and others tonight. That actually rather brings this important issue to the gutter. Then actually be genuine and grown up (all of you are 40+). I accept the football section is more banter but the CA should be more personal and delve into matters with more consideration.

If you had anything about you @Hinchcliffe's Corner you will apologise for that comment about rape. You may disagree with me but that is never on in my book.
You're just looking to play the victim here. It's poor from you. Relax.

None of that was said. I don't know why you are pushing this.

The woke thread got called out very early. What do you want for the third time?

@Xizor I will tag you in and quote you last post but this in response to that.

In bold is what was said. That was an attack on me and not a position about Braverman which you state.

Well I can only apologise again, but as a 3rd party it doesn't come across as an attack on you, unless there's previous exchanges in this or another thread that I didn't see. My reading is more of a general warning that marginalised groups shouldn't welcome the chance to join the 'in' crowd just to temporarily join in the hate against another marginalised groups. As the poem goes, "First they came for the Socialists...".

It can also be encapsulated by this comic.

Whilst I consider myself an ally, I'm not gay. As a proverbial straight white, middle-aged male I'm a member of so many in-groups that my perspective may well be skewed by that privilege. I clearly don't have your lived experience and I'm not going to claim to better at fighting against prejudice whilst simultaneously not suffering any consequences from it either way.

All that said, I do stand by my original point that the way you quote other people is bloody infuriating, who taught you to type ABOVE the quoted post, feral wolves?

I apologise for the way I formed the original post. And I apologise if it is coming across like I'm a jerk unfortunately when facing multiple posters and no one supporting my view points it is tough not to.

The best way anyone can show support Is to be friendly and tolerant, join our parades and ignore the haters.

@Rita_Poon that's all I want
There has been a great indifference against some outlandish claims on here recently. And by indifference, I mean castigation. The deranged claims from one specific has been called out roundly.

I have mentioned empathy, and acceptance previous. That still stands. If you feel you have not been supported appropriately, please, feel free to PM me or countless others with your grievance. I'm sure should something underhand have occurred that restorative action will be taken.

The road is long and difficult and cannot be travelled quickly. I'm not sure what more I or anyone else can do.

What cake joke?

Hooray, we have some rapprochement! I'll arrange a UN photographer to take a snap as we awkwardly shake hands.

Please expand what you mean by nobody supporting your viewpoints though, I've only really seen your posts in passing but they seem to jive with the general vibe of the forum and should only be opposed by the usual illiberal suspects.

Literally everyone bar the few forum nutjobs we have here support his pov.

Your posts are a bit confusing to me, do you believe bigotry exists against transpeople and that they are a marginalised group? I think if you believe in equality then your ears (in this case eyes) are your greatest instrument and I'm open to learning or being wrong.

I won't play the anecdotal game as its cheap imo, but I'm probably far closer to the LBGTQ community than you are assuming.

How is it an attack on you?

You’ve literally said in a previous post that you support trans people haven’t you?

If you don’t like straight people talking about LGBTQ+ issues then fair enough I suppose, but I’m honestly confused as to why you’re personally offended or feel like you were personally attacked by my original post

Yes they exist why wouldn't I think that?

Your post was an attack on me and I would like to ask why? Also I would like to add the first 25 pages of the "What is Woke" thread was on the Ale house section which means it was under moderators rules. I thought they would step in and close it like @Kurt. asked them too multiple times.
Trans people are the acceptable target, we saw rampant bigotry in a thread last night that would have been shut down had any other marginalised group been the target.

Everything you say is spot on.

Here is my only post on the woke thread page 15
This probably should be in the CA section.

I don't think d34noj is a bigot nor do I agree with his opinion.

It's about tolerance and accepting people beliefs and views.

I defended Gana Gueye a while back when he got heat for not wearing a rainbow badge on his shirt because he religion doesn't accept homosexuality.

That doesn't mean he is a bad person for that view it's just a different way people see how we should live and act.
Here is the moderator first post page 16. My comments where ignored and the moderator allowed the trans debate to continue.
Hang on a bit. There's a few posters im itching to ban so just holding off for now. Soon as it goes in CA I'm snookered.
So you are out of order saying another marginalised being attacked it would have stopped it sooner. I tried you guys didn't listen.

If you had just the one post and the other poster was all over the thread with their, to put it mildly, unpopular views….why would you think the comments here were aimed at you? I took it as clearly aimed mainly if not exclusively at that other poster and the problem in general

Seems a bit of a leap

There are only two openly gay forum to my knowledge on this forum. Both have replied to you and @Walken. Please see the bold to answer your answer.

So I ask you why did you post that original message? Why do you think non-trans LGBTQ+ community are keeping quiet? Quiet on here or everywhere?

What do you think is achieved by others attacking the haters? Our community is a peaceful one that encourages love for everyone and acceptance for everyone.

My first gay love was Muslim. He is still isn't out to this day. He can't voice his opinions. He can't go to rallies. He can't find true love.

To state the silent are doing wrong is a hurtful and really blinded view on many people in our community.

I'm one of the lucky ones. I found my love. And I'm accepted by my family.

And I'll happily be the first person in this forum to say I've been in a relationship with a trans women and sex multiple times. Why they went to work they had to go as there male self as that was the only way they could get employment in that sector. They would come home and become the women I knew.

So I ask for you to actually drop your previous comments about my community and how we should fight for eachother that's not your decision.
I hope Braverman’s comments are a wake up call to any non-trans LGBTQ+ folks who think that keeping quiet and letting trans people take the brunt of hate will mean the bigots will leave the rest of them alone

They won’t

They hate all of you, trans people are just the current main target

Stand side by side and fight back together, or you’ll eventually be next on the list
