There was a time when only the wealthy could afford a car but the industry scaled from innovators and early adopters to the mass market. This whole thing about stopping protests cos people don't feel safe going out. Every Saturday in every city in the country there are literally millions of football fans who often have to be kept apart by the police - no one moans about safety or costs or overtime then. It is mad victim claiming.
