who is the west at war with this week, and which ships fancy a journey through the red sea bringing us steel? at times of surplus it is very easy to cherry pick figures, but things change very quickly, and could a new us president apply tariffs like he has before? I did also mention quality, and we've been over this previous...
Almost to the day...
The top three countries we import steel from are Germany, Belgium, and Spain. It just seems like one of those heavily politicised industries whose political heft massively outweighs its actual importance to the country. I mean it's worth about 1/3 that of the video game industry, but I doubt you'd get politicians falling over themselves to declare the video game industry of strategic importance. How can something so small be "that" strategic?

This was steel, in the sky, 24 hours a day. Not computer games.

Steel is a fundemental material for making and building things.
Surely it is more important for a country to protect and control the ssupply of such an important material.
The so called gaming industry does may pull in loads of money but does not provide the basics for construction, railway transport and vehicles.

If it's so important I wonder why it's worth so little?

Just grow it next to our concrete forests

…..Sunak keeps saying Labour will return the country to “square one”, I think it would be an improvement if he got the country to ”square one”.
Square one indicates stability with a view to progress.

Does his clown show of a party offer either of these things?

It's all desperation tactics at this stage, but they know the public are thick enough to fall for a good enough sounding lie. It's like a depraved version of Battleships where they keep sending missiles in the form of random three word slogans and culture dividing subjects with the hope of getting a hit.
