Is there such a thing these days and Is he "better Tory", certainly not for me... One of the authors of " Britania Unchained", book in which Tory party gets its ideology these days "libertarian". Other notable authors Kwasi Kwarteng, Priti Patel, Dominic Raab, Lisa Truss and it course Chris Skidmore. Horrendous stable of chinless wonders.

Yes, there is such a thing.
Skidmore has been one of the few MP's on the Tory side pushing for Net Zero and I agree with him that the past few years we have gone from being a leader in tackling climate change and now just stumbling along.
We have an oppourtunity to grow a new green economy and he backed it. Quite a few of potential leaders of the Tories want to scrap Net Zero and say it will save money.
It won't, it will cost us more dearly in the long run.

He is free marketeer, pushing government for interventions for a Greener UK, the irony is strong.
Almost guarantee his interest is his financial portfolios, which very likely been transfered in name to family and friends and sat in some offshore account. Those sort of Green credentials... Which I suspect strongly now to be much of what is Green credentials, self enrichment!

People have to remember a 1 or 2% income tax cut is worth about depending on you're earnings worth about 10 to £20 per month, to the richer people who it's aimed at, its worth a damn sight more. Most people have lost more and will continue losing a lot more with the threshold tax frozen for years to come. Haven't read it because I would never sign up to that crap, but I betya Rishi hasn't told us what him and his wife are saving..

I grew up in Wellingborough. It's Tory and further right AF.
Labour held it from 1997-2005, but that's the only time they've held it since the '60s.
It will be an interesting one to watch. Start losing in places like that and they're bolloxed.

Big Oil, companies whose cost structure depends on Big Oil and the Israel lobby.
This will continue until enough voters put green energy policies at the top of their wishlist, irrespective of personal financial consequences and whose feathers get ruffled.
People owning smokestacks are betting the voters won't do it in the short term. People owning green companies are placing the opposite bet. People owning both are hedging.
Speaking as a parent of two SEN kids this piece needs sharing far and wide.
