The west thought that Putin was a man to deal with. It’s only recently that he decided to try and restore a form of USSR. I put this down to the Eu and its expansion and said so back in 2016. But who knows, maybe Putin suddenly had a Stalin or Peter the Great moment…it’s still one man’s ego causing the death of a great number of people…..

I think it's a mistake to think of Putin the man...that's why I said Putinism. He's the personification of Russian neo-imperilist chauvinism. Those chauvinists are the dominant faction of the Russian elite but not the only side of that elite. They'll never agree to be pulled into the orbit of Washington and become what they would deem to be a vassal state. They'd all need to be removed for any rapprochement to be made with the West. That;s why there was a a lot of excitement when last summer there looked like there was a possibility of Wagner pushing through to Moscow.

I've always been consistent in my opposition to Putin. He's a thug who was capable of brutally smashing Russian civil society as well as any oligarch who thought they could still rip off Russia.

That doesn't make the war in Ukraine black and white though.

Zelensky is a corrupt puppet of the West, and the West want to further NATO's territorial gain and place maximum pressure on the Russian elite to oust Putin and renounce Putinism.

Yeah, that has been clear in your consistent refusal to call out Russias aggression and genocide and instead focus on calling the invaded countries leader action man and the like.

I called it out the other day if you were paying attention when Russian forces targeted civilians.

You need to stop frothing at the mouth mate. And you need to take a more critical view of the mangy dogs who run Ukraine: they are corrupt anti-democratic and they are defo not the good guys you whitewash them as.

Ukraine have not invaded anyone. I see you are getting your rocks off on this, but Ukrainians were going about embracing the new year when putin started murdering them.

Putin is sponsoring a move back to the days of royal rule, of autocrats and their henchmen.

Your boy Putin is clearly going to allow a transparent and democratic election as evidenced by all his opponents that are still alive in jail or bared from the process!
