Does that demonstrate the success of NATO against Russian colonialism, and why many former Soviet colonies want the protection NATO offers against Russian aggression?

No wonder Ukraine wanted and wants this protection, eh.

The level of response would be a judgement though. When it comes to non nuclear responses or action, NATO a would undoubtedly step up to the mark. If it came to nuclear attack I think a more selective response would come….

It represents that an imperialist power bloc has successfully marked out its territory to deter another imperialist power like Russia.

Ok, so if Russia invades one of the Baltic countries, would the USA, U.K. or France fire off its nukes. No. We would fall back then retaliate. If Russia then nuked Poland, would USA, U.K. or France nuke Moscow, I still doubt it. If Russia nuked a part of France, UK or USA would we nuke Moscow, absolutely and they know it…..
It depends on what level of force was used by Russia. If they went nuclear a Baltic nation - for some reason - then that would be met with equal force.

It’s called collective defence. NATO is bigger than Russia, Russia knows this and is why it wants buffer countries in between. What Russia can’t get its head around though, or maybe it does and uses it to keep its people inline, is that the West has no intention nor any need to attack Russia. Indeed if Russia applied to join I’m sure it would be welcomed, but it wants to be seen as a great power in its own right, even though Ukraine has obliterated this myth…….

Of course the West don't want to attack Russia. They just want it's vast resources to be made available to them and pulled away from China. They just need regime change for that.

Dont forget: the West created the conditions for Putinism. Western politicians and corporations installed oligarchs into power and traded with them - ripping off sovereign Russian industry in the 90s. They made a fundamental error in allowing that to happen and they've been left to deal with Putin and his neo-Russian imperialist politics.

The west thought that Putin was a man to deal with. It’s only recently that he decided to try and restore a form of USSR. I put this down to the Eu and its expansion and said so back in 2016. But who knows, maybe Putin suddenly had a Stalin or Peter the Great moment…it’s still one man’s ego causing the death of a great number of people…..

It is a welcome moment, but you'll be back on the Putin bandwagon in no time.
I've always been consistent in my opposition to Putin. He's a thug who was capable of brutally smashing Russian civil society as well as any oligarch who thought they could still rip off Russia.

That doesn't make the war in Ukraine black and white though.

Zelensky is a corrupt puppet of the West, and the West want to further NATO's territorial gain and place maximum pressure on the Russian elite to oust Putin and renounce Putinism.
