A lot of sense in this thread. there is no doubt that many simply vote as they always have done. Others vote Tory because they the think they are too "posh" to vote Labour. Many are of course Daily Mail readers and simply take all that that rag puts forward as gospel. You can discuss/argue as much as you like with such people and get nowhere. I well remember Brexit and a friend of ours (Mail reader) wanted Brexit because they were fed up with our laws being over ruled by European laws. They would not accept that the ECHR is nothing to do with EU. Another person I know voted Brexit because they did not like the Eurovision Song contest. The massive problem with most MPs is that they have never had to make ends meet because they have more than enough money and this makes it impossible for them to understand what life is like for normal people.

I’ve said it before, but there are parallels between Starmer and Biden.
In any other election neither of them would have a chance, but it has become for us, like the US with Trump, more important to rid the government of this poisonous leadership asap rather than wait for an ideal candidate to come along.
In our case we will be stuck with an utter plant pot in Kier Starmer.
However, looking at that Tory conference, their plan going forward is to attack immigrants, trans people, unions and ‘wokeness’, which according to Bravermen above means sidelining inclusion and equality as superfluous while the Tory rags go full on culture war nonsense.
