The annoying thing is, most people who’ll be voting for Labour are doing so on anti Tory principles but any Labour victory will be lauded and repeated as another example of how labour have to take the ‘middle ground’ to appeal to the electorate. The LP running on a more radical manifesto would have won in 2017 if the LP right wing bureaucracy - acting on behalf of the likes of Starmer - hadn't actively scuppered their chances to turn a hung parliament into a small majority.
