Tobias Ellwood quits as chair of defence select committee over Taliban remarks
Tory MP steps down after four committee member called for no-confidence vote over praise for Afghan regimewww.theguardian.com
Yes, people may find what he said objectionable but he had actually gone to the country and reported on what he saw first-hand. In terms of factual accuracy I think he was correct in what he said too, though he was a fool not to mention all the rest.
Losing the chair at a very important time for the country, especially because of four odious toads like Francois and Kevan Jones. seems daft to me.
We're a 2 parent, 2 kid family. It's September and we're beyond 5k by a fair bit.£5000 a year for a typical 2 parent 2 child family will be what we pay when the NHS is privatised.
But that isn't the worst of it. Paying for the medicines that cost very little to produce will be the killer. If no private health care, you will end up paying £80 for an asthma inhaler. £100 for an epi pen..
Christ mate that's shocking. DO you have private medical too? We're a 2 parent, 2 kid family. It's September and we're beyond 5k by a fair bit.
Prescriptions are an absolute ballache. There's a thing called GoodRx that gets you a discount on your meds. Discount varies by pharmacy so I have 3 prescriptions currently and they're in 3 different pharmacies. I have one that's $120 without GoodRx and $49 with, 90 day supply.
Oh and your doctor has "your" pharmacy in the computer so scrips automatically go to one then you have to mess around to get the cheaper pharmacy to pull the scrip to them.
I currently have a bad back. Made a horrible crunch sound when I lowered a generator about a month ago. Not going anywhere near a doctor as I can't put more financial burden on my family after having physio earlier in the year due to knee pain. So I just wear a brace, take ibuprofen, and will be drywalling the kitchen today.
Good times.
More than 3m people in England are covered by councils that have gone bankrupt. More will join them; the only question is when.
I'm in the States so that's with medical insurance. I haven't even factored in that cost. I'm just counting co-pays and deductibles.Christ mate that's shocking. DO you have private medical too?
Awful that mate.I'm in the States so that's with medical insurance. I haven't even factored in that cost. I'm just counting co-pays and deductibles.

Amd what do you really think the reaction to that would be? Considering we know it was a massive mistake to come out?You can see the attack lines of the Tories now: Starmer is desperate to overturn Brexit.
I think there's enough gammons out there who'd vote Blue Tory if that message gets through...maybe not enough to stop a Red Tory majority, but defo narrowing any victory for them.Amd what do you really think the reaction to that would be? Considering we know it was a massive mistake to come out?
