Looks like she may survive even comfortably. Like most on here I wanted a tight result , I suppose maybe a even a razor think May win , which might have done the most damage but if it goes the way it’s looks I might have to try and take some minor satisfaction from the potential humiliation for JRM and Johnson’s wasted haircut .

Deffo mate, I reckon she will piss the vote. She'll get the backing of those moderate Tories who think her times up, but they won't take the chance on who replaces her.

Exactly. She's assured the members that she will not lead the party at the next general election, which will appease the middle-ground in the short-term.

They will get a new leader when it's necessary but not the fearful snap-election that could cause mayhem, alongside some stability throughout Brexit.

She will probably win, but the important bit is by how much. If she gets less than 200 / the ERG get more than a hundred, it will be almost impossible for her to do anything.

What doesn't make sense to me is how many Tories have come out and said they'll vote to keep her in, but then go on and say they won't vote for her Brexit deal. Saying that though, they probably have daggers in their arse pockets at the ready.

For many, I suspect it's showmanship and manipulating the situation for their own ends. There's not much leeway with regards to the Brexit deal, if any.

Yet, they know that they can use the situation to help shape the party in the future by showing May she's not in their plans and when she goes is totally up to them.

That is because the media have been briefing that out, even though the ERG will be able to collapse her government (and, if you take May at her word not to stand at the next election, get her to quit that way).

I want Boris as PM, he’d take no crap from the EU, if the deal is not good enough he’d walk away with a no deal, suits me fine does that.

Then he’d lose a general election to Labour for absolute certain, it’s all gravy for labourites if Boris got it.

Yeah I mean lied to his editors and his readers , his party leaders and his constituents whilst plotting to assault a journalist. Seems perfectly suited for the job .

you are voting for someone out of notoriety and celebrity status alone, now talking about an election like its a fa cup tie
Boris would take no crap from the EU, and then hand Labour a certain victory in the next election, not hard to understand my thinking being keen to tell the EU to shove it and wanting Labour in power asap.
