From a political point of view this is cowardly and shameful by the BBC.
From a MOTD perspective I’m not bothered. Lineker went stale a long time ago and I find his style of presentation supercilious and smug.
For me; good outcome from a terrible decision.

Tbh the programme has had it’s day. It brings nothing but very limited highlights and jokey bantz. I can’t think of one regular presenter who thrives there.
Shearer is absolutely terrible but I listen to him on R5 live on a Saturday lunchtime and Mark Chapman brings out the best in him.
Hopefully Wright’s action will shame a few more into not appearing.

I watch it from time to time only but I think it has value as an alternative to Sky et al.
