don't see why the BBC don't go the full hog and Have all news and sports reports with Newscasters wearing their Brown shirts.

From a political point of view this is cowardly and shameful by the BBC.
From a MOTD perspective I’m not bothered. Lineker went stale a long time ago and I find his style of presentation supercilious and smug.
For me; good outcome from a terrible decision.

what will happen now is we will be given more Tory ex reds presenting it.
All the sabre rattling over channel 4 to scare a few, and obviously boris' very distant cousin (you know, the one that got him the 800k loan) that runs the bbc at the minute knows what side his bread is buttered.
We need some lookalikes to live podcast a knock off motd on a saturday night via youtube or similar.

Tbh the programme has had it’s day. It brings nothing but very limited highlights and jokey bantz. I can’t think of one regular presenter who thrives there.
Shearer is absolutely terrible but I listen to him on R5 live on a Saturday lunchtime and Mark Chapman brings out the best in him.
Hopefully Wright’s action will shame a few more into not appearing.
