Just watching the Andrew Marr show.
On the press review they had a total Tory nonentity whom had just been “promoted” in this latest Cabinet reshuffle.
His arrogant dismissal of the UN report on poverty in this country was disgusting.
He's a total car crash. What a bunch of clueless non entities
Like we only have one channel crossing. Tit.
I deliver daily to a busy dock. Mainly vehicles to and from Asia. It is an inconvenient truth that any dock/port has a natural capacity. There is a maximum number of ships that can dock, a maximum number of cars/containers/fruit gums that can be held pending onward delivery.
A maximum number of crap getting exported.
I would bet a billion peanuts that most cross channel ports, here and in any EU country, frequently operate at "Peak", (thats the term). Ergo, if Calais is at peak, every other port in Northern Europe/Southern UK are as well.
For Christ's sake, a bloody monocle.
For Christ's sake, a bloody monocle.
Indeed. Reckon you know infinitely more about this than me, but from what I understand of places like Rotterdam, it's run with military precision. Not a whole lot of slack in the system to be offered up to the Brexit gods.
Its extremely well managed. It has to be.
Like docks and airports are rarely caught out, (weather excepted obvs), cos they know sometimes weeks in advance what and from where they will be handling on any given day. That filters into the whole supply chain, be it delivering new cars to dealers, or oranges to an Asda distribution hub.
Given the variables applicable every day, its astonishing that the whole system seemingly delivers everything we need all the time. The simple fact I didnt give it a moments thought before this job, shows how seamless it has been for ages and ages.
Taking ideology to aside what amazes me is the flippant arrogance and ignorance (in almost equal measure) of this Tory party. They have all the entitlement of their predecessors (which is an ugly trait) but very little of the competency. It's almost as if solutions are thrown up off the top of their head.
These questions should all have been debated well before article 50 was triggered. In honesty they should have been resolved before a referendum was called. I've got no issue with leaving something, but you have to have worked out how to get around the problems it creates. Back of a fag packet solutions don't really help.
Not if you're @Old Blue 2 . For him, it seems the case that you can campaign for something despite having given no thought as to how it could be implemented, as that's someone else's job. It's a logical humdinger I've never managed to get my head around.
