Just another insult created and used by the alt right and white nationalists etc for men they consider to be effeminate because those said men are feminist, leftist and care about civil rights and the environment etc.

Same as snowflake or how "woke" is often used by the daily mail in a derogatory way. Which are also insults used by the above poster.

And they're all used regularly by people who bleat on about how they're "centrists" (and therefore oh so far above the fray and free from bias) while parroting far right/alt-right talking points.

It's a weird position to be in to be fair.

I know I am considered to be quite far left with my views and ideology. I'm fine with that and accept that and proud to be considered that. But for me, those views are just normal and is just about wanting to help others (which I find mad isn't the mainstream view and just considered centrist).

But many of the people who present as being right wing, and use the phrases above in derogatory ways (and bleat about the left and the woke causing all the issues and rarely call out the alt right) try to claim they are centrist rather than accepting they are right wing and owning that and being proud of it. If you aren't proud of your views enough to accept where it places you, it would indicate to me that you already know they are wrong (or at the very least contentious).

Back to the Tories. Talks about cutting benefits.

It's a bold strategy to take to be honest. Reduce support for the poorest while increasing profits for the richest.

Freeze/starve as many of the poor as possible this winter. Population falls. Then there's less strain on the NHS. So then by default, the NHS becomes appropriately funded without needing to increase its funding. NHS starts coping more, so the argument becomes, "Look how amazing the NHS is under us".

Bold, bold strategy.
