Read this article this morning and thought that there were some very interesting points made.

I have to agree with the points that a weak opposition is contributing to the Cons boldness in looting the country and that there is a political vacuum that could be filled by extreme populism because of the need for radical solutions to the problems that we face.

Labour are about 15 points clear in the polls? That seems marginally better than the thumping defeat Labour experienced when they had the kind of leader who touted the ideas in that article.

Listen careful Tory voter this is what they really think of you!

So if you're going to sit back and take that and then give them your support too, are you stupid?

That's why non Tory voters throw the term about.

Goodness, that bloke has absolutely no clue at all. We're off the back of a record year for venture capital funding, which was up over 100% on the year before and saw over $600 billion invested in entrepreneurs globally. This largesse is primarily because of the prolonged period of incredibly low interest rates and people with lots of money to invest.

The exception to this is your bog standard small businesses that aren't identified as high tech or high growth. Funding for them has been hard to come by not because of taxation but because of the regulations brought in to ensure banks don't screw up after 2008.

When the reality of these long term cuts are understood there should be people on the streets.

If Labour do not come out now with an alternative strategy then they may as well pack in.
That's the thing isn't it? They're not planning on cutting public spending at all? They're just not caring about balancing the books and are trying to stoke the economy when the BoE are trying to rein in inflation.

They most likely know that they won't be getting another term so are effectively sabotaging the economy to kill the next gov.
