But can you imagine the things they have seen in their time as a Policeman? I know they have training and get help with the mental aspect, but they do have a horrid job.

It's a country were anyone resisting arrest has the potential in a split second to go Raoul Moat on you as the arresting officer.

Blame the stupid culture, not the police.

Think about it - you spot a gun; the guy starts moving his arm towards it. Your knee slips off his arm, you're unsteady, in 2 seconds gun drawn and bang.

Why take the risk? Being a cop is a job after all - I'd do whatever I could to not be killed doing it too.

Again, it comes down to one thing - if the guy didn't resist arrest, he doesn't get shot.
