That’s fair but I go back to the whole concept of correlation doesn’t mean causation. There are so many variables that need to be considered. It’s essentially the same as someone saying, the majority of gang shootings are done by African Americans. Race isn’t the cause of what’s happening in my mind. It’s one of many many variables but almost always the one people tend to fixate on. You can’t change someone’s race. But you can root cause the other circumstances leading to problems and react to those. Just my opinion.
It's certainly a variable and an important one given, per Gallup, white people in this country are twice as likely to have guns in the house as non-white people.

Ok, but majority of gun violence is non-white so clearly it’s not a 1x1 argument between ownership and usage. If we’re looking at only school shootings and accessibility I kind of get where you’re going, but the macro issue of gun violence can’t be distilled down to race. We should be focusing on solving the gun violence issue holistically and not just the situations that make it onto the evening news.

Oh, am certainly not attempting to distill a complex matter down to simply race or any other single factor and I'm not going to limit the debate to "violence" either as that avoids the epidemic of suicides by gun in the country - which is vastly disproportionally seen among white people. Agreed wholeheartedly the bumper-sticker debates that resonate in Congress and on the evening news are a poor substitute for doing the work necessary to limit the problem.

What the hell, straight up murder.

"The Pima county attorney’s office is reviewing the shooting for possible criminal charges against Remington."

... errrr... yeah I don't think that review should take long.

Why hasn't he been immediately arrested, that's blatantly straight up murder.

This is pretty incredible from his lawyer

“These are unbelievable circumstances that I’ve never seen,” he said, adding that Remington “attempted to de-escalate the situation” until he had no other choice.”

De-escalate?
