You'd think the country was facing a foreign invasion, seeing that. Or that the entire family are unhinged.
In all seriousness though, while every single person who posed for this photo is a dip****, these are also not the kind of guns and gun owners I’m worried about. All of the firearms pictured are incredibly expensive to purchase, and have wait times stretching months and months while several federal organizations run background checks on you prior to purchase. Particularly the M60 that the Congressman is wielding. He’s probably in for $50k+ to have bought that thing, so you can damn sure assume he’s locking it up.

In all likelihood, these guns are just hauled out a couple times a year to the gun range or some palatial private estate to make everyone feel like a badass as they blow away some watermelons or other fruit to the tune of several thousand dollars in ammo.

I’m far more worried about handguns or AR15 style rifles that can be picked up for <$1000 at a gun show on a Sunday afternoon and in a school killing kids on a Monday morning.

I would have fully agreed with you before January 6

I was really talking in reference to the school shooting epidemic which has once again reared it’s ugly head. Those people owning those guns aren’t really contributing to that particular problem. You’re right though, if the country as a whole continues it’s slide in the general direction of civil war, them having those guns is a huge problem.

Normalising gun ownership is just wrong. Accidents involving firearms, and the easy availability of guns for suicide, account for many deaths in the USA every year. The people in the picture most definitely are a part of the problem.
