Yes. to me tasing does seem an overreaction when the arrest is due to a misdemeanor (ie not prior history of violence) and there are no threats of violence displayed or weapons idenitified.

He wasn’t some murderer who was trying to escape so he could go on another rampage - as far as I’m aware he had an unpaid fine of ~$300 and an air freshener. What exactly was the societal threat if they had let him drive off and picked him up later?
This

It's part of a much larger problem we have here in the states. Excessive use of force. Usually (not always) directed at black men. Almost always directed at poor folk

Edited to put link in code. He's jumped in a car, could reach for concealed weapon, turn it round and plow into the police etc. etc.

He was a live threat. He invited the action - anyone who genuinely says the taser isn't the correct course of action in that scenario I'll never see eye to eye with on this one.
Then we are going to have to leave it there.

Yeah, but he was shot and killed by a gun. Lol at the idea that, while making his mistake, he should have factored in the potential that the police officer could mistake her gun for a taser and blast him out of life.

Utterly clueless.

Fair point. But did they pull him over for the air freshener first and then run further checks and discovered warrant? Or were they aware of the warrant when they pulled him over? Honestly don't know.
Yeah, I don’t know this part either. I guess it’s possible they ran his tags before pulling him over initially, but what I’ve read is he was pulled over for the air freshener, they ran his info, found the warrant, and then it escalated from there.

What was wrong with the air freshener exactly?
Idk if it’s everywhere but some laws exist claiming it’s a safety hazard because it impairs vision, and as a result you can be fined for it. Personally I think I’ve had one for about a year now just because I always forget to take it off. It’s a dumb law.

Yet again, non-compliance. Everything was calm and orderly, and he decided to wrestle free, get back in the car and make a run for it. Not much sympathy.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr White. A man who had no qualms about a black person getting killed but gets angry if people have no sympathy for a dead entitled old white man.
His posting record speaks for itself. Of course he’s not racist though.

Compare his attitude to his attitude towards Kyle Rittenhouse.

Black man trying to run away at a traffic stop? He must expect death

White 17 year old illegally hauling an assault rifle across state lines and murdering two people? American Hero just defending himself

He despises black people
