Of course he would, the guy broke out of an arrest and attempted to speed away in a vehicle.

Black or not, he's tased in that situation.

Is their racial bias in American policing? God yes. Was this an example of it? No.
I am not as certain of that as you appear to be.

According to the new report, Connecticut's police used Tasers 650 times last year. Ken Barone, a researcher at Central Connecticut State University's Institute for Municipal and Regional Policy, co-wrote the report and found racial disparities in the data.

He found that black men were about three times more likely to be Tased than simply warned. For Latino men, it was over 40 percent more likely to be Tased than warned. For white men, the chance of being Tased or warned were about the same.

Yes, because there's racial bias. There's a lower threshold for black people being tased. Not denying that.

But someone breaking out of an arrest situation and attempting to escape in a car is tased every single time regardless of skin colour.

Yeah as I was saying

Well he did?

Answer me this - if he doesn't resist arrest and drive off, does he get shot?

No.

It's not like the George Floyd incident, which is murder, clear as day. In this, two mistakes have happened - he resists arrest and attempts to escape, the officer shoots with a gun instead of a taser. That's it. No racial bias.

I have no data to know if that statement is true or not - I suspect you don’t either.

I'm fairly sure if a white guy shrugs off the police, jumps in a car and attempts to drive off, they're tased.

Whereas in your world apparently the police chuckle, say "boys will be boys" and give him a merry wave as he drives away.

Not everything is down to skin colour. The police arrest white people every day too.

No, they pursue or pick them up later as they know their address.

Or they give more warnings before deployment of taser.

Yes police arrest white people every day too - they just happen to do it with less of those arrestees getting shot during the process.

The problem is it all goes deeper than individual interactions but you're unwilling to see that

I've said repeatedly there's obvious racial bias in American policing.

The problem I have is protesting EVERY incident regardless of context. Because it dilutes the point. Most looking at that are thinking "guy tries to run, cops make a mistake, why are they going on about Black Lives Matter over it?"

The bias doesn't just turn off mate
