Just to put things into perspective, nutters exist on both sides
And your point is what?
‘Putting things in perspective’ ffs
These kids will never know either of their parents
How about we ensure that ‘nutters’, regardless of ideology or mental state, don’t get access to guns that can kill dozens in a heartbeat?
That's his base, he can't attack themWill Trump finally act after these tragic events over the past couple of day's?
If not, he is conceding that the right of deranged individuals to own military grade weapons, supersedes the right of American citizens to go about their lawful business.
Errr... How do they do it in other countries?!I agree - how to do that though without penalizing law abiding legal gun owners though. That's the issue
Personally I think the 6 year old kid who was murdered at Gilroy last week or those orphaned this week are a greater issue.I agree - how to do that though without penalizing law abiding legal gun owners though. That's the issue
That nutters exist on both sides and that blaming Trump/Republicans as some are doing doesn't make sense given one of the shooters was a Bernie Sanders supporting socialist

Not really, outside of west Texas even the his own party sees him for who he is - a total phony
Hi @St. Domingo, here is where we discuss American gun crime. I'm sure you have some very interesting thoughts on this, but before you mention London knife crime, there is already a thread for that here: https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...-in-london-thread.104239/page-42#post-7105342
I’m genuinely not too concerned what law abiding gun owners feel compared to the need for action, as there’s an epidemic in the US.I agree - how to do that though without penalizing law abiding legal gun owners though. That's the issue

Do you know about the Dunblane School massacre in the UK? One person committed a horrendous massacre killing innocent children.
What did we do? Banned handguns - point blank. Yes it penalised those who diligently possessed handguns, but there was a greater need.
I would argue it has saved many lives, which outweighs the grievances of the owners. Actions speaker louder than words and the US must act.
Understandably, a blanket ban wouldn’t work in the US, however more stringent checks and rolling restrictions would be a gold start.
Unfortunately, you’re almost certainly right and that’s testament to the blindness of the US public and their politicians when it comes to firearms.Yep. The UK after Dunblane, Australia after Port Arthur, New Zealand after the Christchurch mosque attack. Within weeks in each country, there was gun law reform. Utterly, utterly maddening that in months and years to come this thread, I'm sure, will sadly remain.

If you want to bare arms then join the National Guard - the organised state militia - as it was originally planned; that right won’t be removed.
If you want to go hunting, then use a bolt action rifle or a shotgun as we do here in the United Kingdom and elsewhere - perfectly suitable.
Otherwise why the heck does anyone need a high-powered semi-automatic rifle with large clips? Same with semi-automatic handguns.
Nobody wants to take their guns, they simply want to control the flow of them better.
