Well, you can't be friends with everyone, can you? You and me, are not going too be. Why don't you just leave it, mate.

I've liked your post, I hope that goes some way towards repairing what I thought was a blossoming friendship. Probably best to let the thread return to normality though isn't it.

Tell you what, this Owen Jones thing is a proper litmus test for spotting bigots.

Twitter is absolutely alive with them at the moment. It'd be worth a thread on here just to identify them all on GOT in one fell swoop.

The difficulty is that, however much one agrees with the words used or the action of walking off, at the end of the day its Owen Jones that did it.

Still think guns are only a part of the problem. The bigger problem is the culture of fear that makes people crave guns.
There is something seriously wrong with that country. They have a first world lifestyle with a third world mentality
Of course they're only part (a pretty bloody big part, but not the whole thing) of the problem.

But the prevailing attitude seems to be "since they're only PART of the problem, we won't bother dealing with that part". It's absolutely ludicrous.

Can you imagine running a business that had lost 25% of its revenue, and one of your managers came to you and said "i've found a change we can make that will knock our losses down to only 10%" and the big boss coming back with "I'm not interested in changing anything unless you can get rid of the entire loss"

Have said it a bunch of times in here already, but there are ZERO legitimate reasons for mass public gun ownership other than the argument that "I like guns".

Couldn't agree more

B b but you can't understand, you're not gay.
Wise words indeed from the modern day Orwell.
Bigot and proud X

I've lived almost my whole life in the States. Never felt any need to have a gun and don't know anyone who owns one.

Really? Where do you live? At LEAST half the people I know own a gun, and of them most own more than one. I'm the weirdo for not having one.
