If they’re gonna be opposed to tight laws like we have, at least some form of system must be better than what they have currently.
..it’s mindboggling. The solution seems so obvious. We have lots of US posters on here but I find it hard to make a logical argument for keeping things as they are.

Well, exactly. It’s a ridiculous thing to say or believe.
He also said that the death penalty should be applied for stringently after mass shootings. I’m sure that will put off future mass murderers considering most of them either kill themselves at the scene or allow the police to do it for them.

TBF it is almost impossible to see how it could ever happen; there are hundreds of millions of firearms over there and the Government have very little idea of who has them.
They have just said 11 dead.

I agree with you. It is illogical and for me more because of the every day gun violence and not the mass shootings. More people lose their life to the former but it is so common it has stopped being news.

What I don’t understand is while this horrible incident is not being reported as a terror attack.
Crazy clown walks into a Synagogue shouting all Jews must die to me qualifies as a terror attack in every form.

It will never happen, however I would ban the production and possession of ammunition unless under strict licensing terms: bear arms all you like without bullets!
Obviously it would not be a perfect solution as there's already copious amount in circulation and there will be smuggling or private production, but it'd be a start.
@Groucho in Australia they had a buy-back scheme from 1996 to early 2000s, which involved involuntary purchases by the government. A possible option?
