Is it safe to say that if the people who commit these shootings would do it with bats / knives if guns are banned?
Or just cowards using a powerful weapon going crazy mad?
It's much easier and less
personal to shoot a person from a distance, rather than to get in close with a knife and use it, so yes I think it would lower - to an extent.
Not sure sometimes if Non-Americans grasp the amount of gun violence over here as most shooting don't make news and if they do they only make regional news.
It is probably alien to most people in the United Kingdom. Here in Liverpool, we've had a shooting spree recently of a total of five shootings in six separate days.
Not all of these have involved people being actually shot (rather aiming at people or buildings) and it will probably reduce to a much lower rate very quickly.
The rest of the United Kingdom, bar a few of the major cities, is pretty much sedate with little or no shootings throughout a calendar year.
