Wow Ryan really is a piece of work.

A) there is at this point no reports that the shooter suffered from a mental health issue so in his role of House leader he should quit the speculation until more info is known - I somewhat doubt he would have been so eager to leap to that conclusion if the shooter wasn't white.

B) Access to mental health treatment was one of the areas most impacted by the multiple Republican healthcare bills.

C)

Honestly one of the weaseliest, snakiest toads in operation atm. I genuinely despise him, he has literally no moral standard and would shoot his own granny if he thought it would give him a leg up in politics

Oh aye, like I said in the first sentence 'good for him'. Obviously better than never 'seeing the light' (I'll refrain from saying that from now on). Just wish they reached that epiphany sooner rather than later. Gain a wee bit of perspective/empathy when others are dealt a crappy hand.

Been having this discussion with a friend this afternoon. I'm really intrigued about the motives. Hopefully this thread can move on from people saying daft things like guns don't kill people, and stay on the mass shooting itself. There's way more going on here.

It's an unfortunate sidenote in all of these massacres, and is underpinned by one of the reasons a very large and loud group of Americans love their weapons. They just don't trust the government and think that, at any given time, they're one piece of legislation away from a full-on fascist state
