There is no doubt that we live in troubled times however such troubled times have existed and been interpreted as 'end times' since the rather vague prophesies existed. I mean - the temptation towards sexual promiscuity is inevitable given billions of years of the evolution of sex drive - to predict that is like predicting the seasons. Predicting atheism is a construct to make people keep the faith that is making the prophesy - its like saying "one day people will grow tired of football and the crowds and money will dry up" - then sitting back and waiting to be right.
These are 'shooting fish in a barrel' predictions- I'd be more inclined to give it credence if some sort of timescale were given by an allegedly all knowing creator. Equally as more people adopt atheism, because education and science removes the need for a God to exist to explain why we are here, there will inevitably be a loss in what that religion's morals. Hardly a prophesy - just a cause and effect.
I deplore the decline in morals caused by the vacuum in leadership as religion declines. However, I would argue that the morals of good behaviour in society existed before eg Christianity and Islam were a thing. They are established rules that make it easier to get along. I'd suggest that religion has been used (rightly) to impose moral behaviour but is not the source of it. What we need to do is establish a societal system based on reason as to why we should behave in certain ways ... like we have done with drink driving and not smoking in places where it is imposed upon others ... aren't these signs of modern morals that make life better? No god needed.
By this I presume you mean 40% of those in the US - not "americans." The US is a unique product borne of those in the UK who could not find success running away to a country with no boundaries and no rules to a land where the biggest gun took all. In order to establish some order among the uneducated lord-of-the-flies reprobates, some extremist religion may have been used. But people believing something is not evidence. Fortunately, as I used to tell my classes, science is not a democracy. The truth is not affected by what we believe, it is the truth and we must adjust our belief to match the evidence of what the truth is. Interpreting the evidence wrongly is entirely possible and measuring the evidence wrongly is entirely possible - which is why no scientist will ever say they have proved - what we say is that we have strongly shown that an idea to be true. In my eyes I'd be happier with a single scientist demonnstrating with evidence why their idea is true, than have 50 million US citizens recite something they believe is true because of their unwavering faith in a version/translation of books written 1500- 2000 years ago.

I don’t mind a lot of streaming content, but am starting to come to the conclusion that the content providers tend to be people not smart enough to be an academic, not funny enough to be a comedian, and not creative enough to produce meaningful artistic work.
What they are good at is recognising there’s a demand for long form conversations on current affairs and social issues, so can fill that demand to great financial benefit to themselves.

Just on this, there is such a thing as objective truth. If 100% of people believe the moon is made of cheese, it has 0 impact on what the moon is made of.
So, just on those 40% of Americans... are any of them paleontologists? Or archaeologists? Because if not, why should I care what 40% of people think about something that is either true (it isn't) or false (it is).
