I wanted to open a thread up on Andrew Tate as he has become such a big figure now and he is almost on every social media, whether it be YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. What is everyone's opinion on Andrew Tate and the sort of views he stands for?


Andrew Tate gained popularity recently for his views about working 9-5 jobs, attracting women and how prominent gender roles have to be in our society. Here are some of his videos.

A lot of my friends talk about him, not necessarily in a good way but he comes up all the time in conversations.

Fair one, I think I’m massively out of the loop with online personalities. I never really got into the whole watching YouTube for anything other than learning how to fix stuff

It’s probably for a separate thread but it is interesting how the internet has made big improvements to life but has simultaneously introduced civilisation to an absolute tsunami of bollocks arguably cancelling out all the good its done

Are we going to discuss everybody who makes a video and puts it on you tube, calling themselves an "influencer*"

* the chrismpw English dictionary describes an influencer as a normark with strong opinions but no education or qualifications relevant to getting themselves a job in the media that would pass any form of editorial, so they record and self publish their vacuous, rambling opinions well enough to attract a big enough crowd of unthinking, unquestioning, bovine followers to be able to claim that they have some sway.

I think a bluebottle could do a similar job as most I've come across if it could master a video recorder.
