I honestly dont think hes as popular as you think, I didnt even know he existed till you made this thread.
And now im sorry I know he exists, hes everything and I mean everything that is wrong with the world today.

What our credulous adolescent-minded blinkered citizen has succumbed to is simply that he and his friends all have the same facebook/google algorithms on their computers, and this has spread to other people's feeds. Simply spiking in notoriety isn't the same thing as spiking in popularity. This thread attests to the fact that people such as me have searched for "Andrew Tate" only to find him as distasteful as I suspected, given the source. He is not popular and the argument of "50 million Elvis fans can't be wrong" is about as adolescent and specious as it gets.

He is very popular on the internet, but not necessarily liked as a person but everyone knows about him. I assure you that if I hadn't made this thread, you woukd've eventually found out about Andrew Tate.
I did a quick Google Trends research on this and he is more Googled right now than the most famous footballer in England Harry Kane, in the UK. He is definitely very popular with the masses and his name is spreading like wildfire.
Andrew Tate's popularity is pretty much a backlash to how liberalized our society has become imo.

You do understand that these comparisons mean nothing, yes? They are trends (hence my comparison to “nothing”), they are not indicators of meaningful popularity or of moral concern; they are generated and perpetuated by algorithms and small social networks. Recall a small bunch of reddit users influenced GameStop but that doesn’t mean they were a meaningful group of well-intentioned morally-guided people. They just happened to have hold of the search engine algorithms for a few days via networking.
