I know it'll never happen but, seriously, so many people should be going to jail within the year over what part they played in everything, Graham especially included..
I've been having similar thoughts along these lines today. I'm confident that the people who attacked and invaded the Capitol this week will, rightly, be tracked down and prosecuted. The ones I would consider the main perpetrators in this will not. These include:
Trump - a coward and bully who deliberately wound up his base to carry this out due to his sheer narcissism.
Trump family members who went even further than him via speeches on the day to turn a crowd into a mob, even turning on members of their own party and directing the mob to target these "traitors".
Trump legal team, especially the likes of Giuliani, Sidney Powell etc. Fabricators of a narrative of fraud of epically mendacious stupidity which was again designed solely to get the gullible Trumpites wound up and was swallowed by them hook, line and sinker.
Various Republican politicians such as Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley etc. who as well as supporting the above used it as an opportunity to raise funds from the Trump base and to position themselves to benefit politically from the situation.
I can't imagine many, if any, of these people being prosecuted. I suspect there will be a whitewash made to look like a serious attempt to get to grip with the issues behind the events of this week and supported by both sides but it will be the "little people" as usual who will be the only ones brought to book.
