So I’ll ask the same question you you I asked before. What was your take on the NFL censoring Kap? They didn’t stop him from saying it. They stopped him from using their platform to do so.

Again, Twitter made the right call here 100%. The initial question wasnt about that.
I have no idea who that is sorry.

What was the initial question about then? I was responding to Tubey's point about twitter not allowing free speech.

This is where our focus should be. In Los Angeles a person is dying of Covid every 15 minutes and instead our resources and time are being spent on keeping these lunatics under control. The priorities of our country need to change once Biden takes office.

While I appreciate the statement. The scaffolding and crap those clowns used and the safety forces being deployed really have no impact on covid besides perhaps a super spreader event

Like I said though, appreciate the sentiment. The thought is in the right place.

Twitter are not stopping him from saying it; they are stopping him from using their own platform to do so.

Which would be fine if it were a forum like GOT. Limited audience, sets its own rules, can ban people who don't abide. Fair enough.

But the problem with Twitter is the scale of it. The sheer size. The importance.

Radio/TV stations, whether private or not, are regulated in the UK by OFCOM, because there's a recognition that the public consumption of content is too important to let be a wild west of crazy nonsense. Twitter, on the other hand, regulates itself. Again, due to the scale of it, that is potentially dangerous.

I think you are making my point for me, due its size, its reach, just makes it all the more important that they determine the output carefully.

I respectfully disagree. If Trump had shown any leadership and had told his people to do simple things such as let's wear the damn mask. I think we would be in a better position when it comes to Covid. Not to even mention how much more he could have done better to prevent all these deaths. No all of them could have been preventable but a lot less people could have died.

Private companies can't just do what they want. Sometimes the requirements of society means regulation, in the same way a shop can't choose to say they don't serve blacks/gays/whatever.

That's not comparable at all to twitter flagging comments for like a 2 good 2 years as potentially misleading but allowing all else to continue as normal.

Then Trump tweets essentially this is what happened when blah blah blah.

And what happened was a Capitol building stormed, a girl shot dead.

I think they covered their bases. Like you are so wrong on this, but continue if you want.

Like you can't yell fire in a movie theater. That's been essentially ruled it doesn't fall under freedom of speech because someone could get trampled in the panic.

Someone was essentially trampled, and afterwards Trump was like that what's happens. He's been yelling fire with no fire. Twitter is well covered here.

You're getting hyperbolic.
