Private companies can't just do what they want. Sometimes the requirements of society means regulation, in the same way a shop can't choose to say they don't serve blacks/gays/whatever.

I know, Trump literally had never held office anywhere, just a failed businessman with a big mouth. He is the precedent now, especially in this social media celebrity obsessed age, anyone famous with an ego can find themselves with the nuclear codes. Terrifying.

Good, but it still feels off for me that a social media company can decide independently what discourse is allowed and what isn't.
