It’s nice that covid takes a little break for political demonstrations (on both sides). Cases are surging and yet we’re still having large gatherings and demonstrations with no one batting an eye. Might be controversial but I find it annoying that people seem to choose when they do or don’t care about it based on what they as individuals want to do in the moment.

Yeah, but there weren't these sorts of huge errors in 2018 afaik. It seems like the pollsters are having huge difficulty assessing the electorate specifically when Trump is on the ballot.

I mean a couple of points with this. Firstly when the final vote comes in Biden my take it by 5 points, maybe even a bit more. He went in on one poll of polls at 8.4. Every chance of a late Trump swing on the day.

It also looks like huge turnout for both sides. I mean if Trump got his 2016 tally, he probably gets wiped out. If this ends up Biden 300 ish EC votes, they are not miles out.

The State polls (and especially Senate polls) - which are the only ones that actually matter - are a long way off in a lot of cases.
