No seriously mate, Sanders would have been decimated. Only reason Biden is in this race is because he's took some votes from the Trump base in terms of white/elderly.
Throw an all-out socialist in as Trump's opponent instead and it'd be a bloodbath - Trump would have painted him as Lenin and would have won comfortably.
Thts for that mate. What does the 74% correlate too?

You spelled stock market wrongThe economy has gone well, people quite like him on that.
@davek I actually appreciate your optimism. The alternative, thinking that Trump will continue as President is truly terrifying. Even more than it was four years ago. The pandemic makes this scenario very scary. For the past two weeks Trump has been mocking the virus, his supporters were just chanting yesterday "fire Fauci" and Trump pretty much has said that if he wins he will fire him. Our nation won't be able to get this pandemic under control under his leadership, at least not soon enough. So I'm still hopeful for a Biden win for the sake of this nation.Nope.
Votes to come will allow a surge past Trump.
Stop looking at the map as it now is in the outstanding races and project beyond it.
Trump knows the end is nigh if this election isn't shut down in the next 24 hours.
Because the democrats put an entire campaign on Biden not being trump. How is it possible - I mean seriously how is it possible that Trump is going to get ~11m more votes than he got in 2016?
this.Just 2 points on this. He already painted Biden as that, and seems to have had some success doing so. Most Democrats also cited Trump as the main reason they voted, which is hardly a ringing endorsement.
Could Sanders have driven up black support, both in numbers and swing to Dems? Quite possibly.
Sanders polled very favourably comapred to Trump, certainly far beyond the margin Biden will win by. It's a seperate debate, but Sanders would have stood a very good chance.
Watching Deliverance as a kid did that for me...What I've learned from this is, whenever I visit the USA, I'm not venturing outside a city.

who would be your perfect candidate then for the Dems?

That would explain people not coming out for Biden (if that was what happened - it’s not really, he’s going to have a record breaking total) - it doesn’t explain people seeing the complete cluster **** of the last 4 years (including a quarter million dead) and saying “may I have some more Sir”Because the democrats put an entire campaign on Biden not being trump.
The lack of real substance beyond that would convince undecided voters who want to hear more from each side.
You’ve clearly never met my dadYeah we have a rural Tory split in the UK.
Difference is you wouldn't see a villager in Somerset wearing a "I LOVE REES-MOGG" hat and holding an AK-47.
