Am I right in saying that those who said Biden was in a commanding position have now been proved wrong? Trump is sadly the overwhelming favourite with the bookies now. Does Biden even have a path to victory now?

it depends on how much the absentee ballot adds to his total in the main four remaining states, and whether its enough to bump Biden past Trump

Take some time to read the actual Founders and their anguish over the EC, changing it nearly immediately and eventually in the case of Madison wanting to scrap it entirely.

As recently as the Nixon Administration the US was close to scrapping it. Nixon was in favor and it overwhelmingly passed the House on a bipartisan fashion. 80% of the country was in favor of it.

Dixiecrats filibustered it in the Senate, killing the measure.

This is always a very silly argument to me. They came from a place with hilariously poor representation, and made a very simple method of making sure each state was represented. It's amazing that ideas can still be correct after centuries eh?

If I was a politician running for office, I’d be asking Hollywood celebrities, who are completely out of touch with the working class, to stay well clear of my campaign.

Anytime celebrities back a candidate, be it here or in the USA, it always falls flat on its face.
