The exit polls on the issues that voters were voting on:

Economy
Race inequality
Covid19

...in that order.

CNN team now look a bit edgy!

I've been watching CNN here in the UK and they've talked about people potentially getting hoax phone calls from the DoHS saying to stay in and not vote.

It's took place in New York State and Idaho.

I've heard it happened in several states.

Have to say those are two stupid states to target. Both so very solidly red and blue.

In a normal year, friends don’t let friends overinterpret surprising individual exit polls. In a pandemic, many of this year’s exit polls will be no more usefulthan preelection voter surveys. Both Democrats and Republicans should be wary of a likely early “blue surge” in Georgia, as the first batch of (disproportionately Democratic-leaning) mail-in ballots are counted before the (disproportionately Republican-leaning) Election Day ballots. Finally, just be patient. No matter how clever you think you are at teasing out broader narratives from initial data dribbles, this is way, way, way too early to have any certainty about what’s happening.

Those exit polls are worrying, especially the pandemic question.

The assumption has been trump has lost a lot of votes because of how he’s handled the pandemic but that isn’t the case if that exit poll is to be believed.

The question isnt worded well either, its not do you think Trump handled it well, maybe voters local government handled it well etc. I wouldn't read a lot into it.

Doesn't it just mean that the people asked were on the day voters...and they will historically be mostly Republican voters?

That's not good. The 2nd part was better, but the first bit is not ideal. Trumps strongest suit is the economy.

As I said above though: those asked would be on the day voters and not the mail voters also. It'll be skewed on that basis I think?
